It's a newly awakened venus fly trap from Chau Yeong! When I say awakened, I mean it has came out of its dormancy and now fully growing at full force. All vfts need to "sleep" or stay dormant for a few months a year to continue living. What a pain. (LOL)
Seriously, what is a Venus Fly Trap (VFT for short.)? It's latin sp. name would be Dionaea Muscipula. Unlike Droseras which is also being reared by me, they have only one type of species under the sp. group Dionaea. Botanists usually name them based on different physical characteristics that they show. So if you ever see D. Muscipula "Akai Ryu" or D. Muscipula "Wacky Traps", it's the same thing with different characteristics, not sp. . This little guy is still growing so obviously they are still small <3

Anyway, I look forward to growing this baby to a beast! Now next is to ensure that I'll get more different sp. of Drosera and other carnivorous plants... Did I mention that the seeds I sowed grow sprouts already? And my D. Paradoxa's leaf cutting thought to have failed sprouted little babies! OYEABABY.
